Australian Manuka honey producers welcome NZ trademark win

The AMHA has recently received a $165,000 grant from the Australian Government to support international market growth for Australian Manuka honey.

This crucial support will help the Association to fortify Australian Manuka honey’s rightful place in the rapidly growing global market, particularly amidst recent attempts from some New Zealand producers to trademark and monopolise the term “Manuka” internationally.

The Association will allocate the funding towards promotion of Australian Manuka, growth of the industry, quality assurance and global education.  See here for news on this award.
